Many insurance companies will require you to file your claims within six months to twenty four months from your time of loss. There is a stat of limits within each policy this is why it is very important to keep a copy of your policy and update your limits when you purchase more valuable or your property value increases.

Common Insurance Myths.

In most states it is NOT permissible for insurance companies to cancel or terminate your policy due to an “Act of God” claim. An “Act of God” constitutes such things as storms, tornadoes, hail, and wind damage. In addition, they can however raise rates for a particular geographical area due to “Acts of God”. They can not single out one customer.
